Burzynski: the Movie

Where to start? I feel like I am having such a wide range of thoughts and emotions that articulating them all is proving to be somewhat difficult.

I have recently watched another documentary, Burzynski: the Movie. This film, again, has turned my world upside-down. Evoking even more questions. Here is a quick synopsis from mercola.com. I have also posted the full documentary.

“Burzynski, the Movie is the story of a medical doctor and Ph.D biochemist named Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski who won the largest, and possibly the most convoluted and intriguing legal battle against the Food and Drug Administration in American history.

In the 1970’s, Dr. Burzynski made a remarkable discovery that threatened to change the face of cancer treatment forever. His non-toxic gene-targeted cancer medicine could have helped save millions of lives over the last two decades had his discovery not been criminally suppressed by the US government, as his therapy, called “antineoplastons,” have been shown to effectively help cure some of the most “incurable” forms of terminal cancer.

This documentary takes you through the treacherous 14-year journey Dr. Burzynski and his patients have had to endure in order to finally obtain FDA-approved clinical trials of antineoplastons.

His story is yet another testament that fact can be far stranger than fiction, as the film exposes the powerful, unscrupulous forces that work to maintain the status quo of the medical- and pharmaceutical industry at any cost—including the lives of millions of people.”

Recently, I have heard that the medical and drug industries main concern lies within their wallet, not within actual health of their patients. When hearing statements like these, I couldn’t help but to feel conflicted. I have always gone to the doctor when I wasn’t feeling quite up to par. I have come to trust my doctors and health care team, trusting that they have my best interest at heart. Doctors are supposed to make you better and healthy.

Being in America, we have a myriad of checks and balances in just about everything, including our health care. Organizations such as the FDA fight hard to ensure that only safe foods and drugs wind up on the market. These organizations are protecting us, right? Maybe, maybe not…

If the facts in this film prove to be true, what an enlightenment. This documentary alludes to FDA corruption through heavy influence by pharmaceutical companies and pressure to maintain the current economical status within the health industry.

The doctor apparently created a medicine that treats cancer patients with better success than chemotherapy and radiation. The FDA took Burzynski before a grand jury several times, attempting to charge him as a criminal and strip him of his license. In the middle of the legal battles the National Cancer Institute paired with a large drug company and a former Burzynski researcher in order to duplicate his formula… with the FDA’s support!

If this is actually true, I am beyond dumfounded. Apparently chemo and radiation had about a 9% success rate, whereas Burzynski reportedly was achieving above a 25% success. How can a doctor be saving lives and be processed as a criminal?

We hold walks and other varieties of fundraisers to raise money and awareness for all kinds of cancers, all in efforts to find a cure. So, someone gets close, developing a better treatment than what currently exists, and they are pursued as a criminal…

Long story short, if cancer disappears, thousands upon thousands of people are out of a job. The drug companies will lose a ton of revenue due to no longer manufacturing cancer treatments and the machines that administer them. The FDA would subsequently lose a massive amount of revenue due to less drugs coming through the pipeline. If this, if any of it, is true… how sad it is. How many lives are at stake?

if this is could possibly be going on within the cancer field, how many other medical areas could this also be going on in?

There have been a few doctors that have proclaimed that they have discovered the cause of MS, however the National MS Society and mainstream media has yet to be convinced. Apparently the CEO of the NMSS makes around $300,000 a year… If there is suddenly a cure for MS, there will be a CEO that is out of a few hundred thousand dollars a year. While I’m not positive that the cause has been discovered, there is certainly enough to ask more than a few questions.

For now,
MS. Crystal
